Structure of the Studies

Studies in Dentistry are divided into two main parts: the pre-clinical part, from the 1st to the 5th semesters, which ends with the "Physikum" after the 5th semester. This is followed by the clinical part of dentistry training, which also lasts 5 semesters (6th - 10th semesters). The Dentistry Examination (state examination) is after the end of the 10th semester and lasts approximately six months.

Below you will find an overview of the content of each semester, though this can change from semester to semester. Current course details, practicals and lectures are available on the websites for each institute, and please pay attention to the latest notices on the campus noticeboards.
